Trim pots are very small potentiometers installed inside effects pedals directly to the circuit board. Designed to make fine adjustments to the circuit, they are typically used for gain or bias adjustment.

Using trim pots are a good idea when you want to have flexibility in adjusting a circuit, but don't want to install an external control. These are the same top-quality parts used by major pedal manufacturers and boutique builders.

This trim pot is rated to handle up to 1/2 watt of current.
